I now own a sewing machine!!!!

Ok, so I am super excited!  This weekend, I was given a Bernina Sewing Machine by an in-law for the cost of shipping it.  I needed a machine of my own and she was looking to give this one to someone since she already has a few.  If you know much about the different machines (which I don't), you will know that these are like the luxury cars of the sewing machine world.  After having this machine, I will be spoiled for life, but I wasn't going to pass the offer up!  I still haven't decided when I will start the process of learning the sewing craft, but I hope sometime this winter I will find the time.  Thanks for the machine Jean!  :)

Sneak Peek of Holiday Gifties!

I can't post too many photos of what I have finished, but above are a few sneak peeks of what I have gotten done for Christmas. The top 2 are of a kitchen towel and the bottom are some cute ornaments I stitched on a bread basket towel.  I used Sublime Stitching patterns from the Forest Friends and Winterland transfers. I can't wait to get all the gifts done and be able to start stitching for myself!

Below is a photo of the 1st thing I ever stitched as a gift.  I did this kitchen towel for a bridal shower gift.  I chose the design because she loves stars and it looked simple enough to do.  I hope to post more photos soon of all the other things I have now been making for Christmas gifts.  They have been keeping me busy all fall!

So Hello, (awkward wave)...my name is Jamie and I'm new to this whole blogging thing, but I have been admiring many lately and thought it could be fun.  The main focus of this space is to share about my interest in crafting.  I invite you to check back often as I embrace my new loves for embroidery, photography, scrapbooking, and hopefully one day sewing and knitting.  My wish is to see my blog become a place for me to focus on my creative new outlets.  I hope it will inspire you to take up a craft!
